Wine 2

Domaine Francois d’Allaines  RULLY 2018

Chardonnay

Burgundy Region, France

The style and flavour expected of a good southern white Burgundy. Ripe, round and textural, with tension, gunflint from some barrel work, and a myriad of flavours. The intense fruit flavours head towards an unusual and complex fruit salad of stone fruit, quince, nuts, honeydew melon, yellow plum, grapefruit and a tiny hint of nettle on the finish – all of this brought together by the vanilla of good French oak.

Louis Latour LES TERRASSES 2019

Pinot Noir

Burgundy Region, France

There’s real varietal character in this light and simple, but well executed and expressive red from the house of Louis Latour. Warm, light cherry notes, with aromatics of garrigue, flowers and red fruit are the main attractions. Away in the background lurk hints of vanilla. Soft and round, it could be chilled on a warm day to enjoy with a Provencal salad.
